Money Personality Quiz
This quiz will show you which of five major money personality types most closely matches your own tendencies: Hoarder, Spender, Money Monk, Avoider, or Amasser. (If you're the sixth type — Money Worrier — you already know it!) Bear in mind that each type has both good qualities and shortcomings, and that most people are in fact a combination of types. This isn't a statistically valid survey, of course — just a way to help determine which money types prevail in your makeup. For each of the 20 statements in the quiz, choose the answer that strikes you first as being closest to your attitude.
Once you get your results write a blog post agreeing or disagreeing with their findings. Be sure to identify your money tendency and explain why you agree or disagree.

For the money personality quiz I got Hoarder. I would disagree with this because if I like something or want something i'll buy it. When I earn money my first priority is to save it but it doesn't last long. In the paragraph along with hoarding it says "You most likely have a hard time spending money on yourself and your loved ones for luxury items or even practical gifts". This isn't a problem for me because if I see something I like or want I would definitely be buying it. I think I am more of a spender than a hoarder but there are times were I want to keep money just in case.
ReplyDeleteFor the Money Quiz I received the "Amasser" option. I think this is accurate because I do tend to be happy with large amounts of money to save and invest. I will feel depressed if I can not save enough money to financially support myself. I also do not like debt and would try my best not to have to use it.
ReplyDeleteI choose to represent Gatsby. Gatsby is definitely a spender when it comes to his money. For the first question, "if $20,000 came to me unexpectedly, my first impulse would be to..." Gatsby would spend it on things he wanted right away, such as another party. Question nine asks "when it comes to lending money..." I believe he would most likely choose "I'm generous and don't worry to much about getting it back."
DeleteAt the end of this quiz, I tied for a money hoarder and money monk. I think the money hoarder is accurate with me because I do keep my money but, on the other hand, I put most of it into the bank because saving is important. I need to support my college finances by myself and I have to save some for my future. The money monk result I disagree with because I do like spending money and I do not think it is "bad" at all. Money is important in all of our lives because it is what the world lives on now.
ReplyDeleteFor the quiz I got hoarder. I would agree with this because I like to keep track of my money and without any money you can't get anywhere. In my opinion, I think this is a great way to be; although you might want something frivolous now but you don't the money to buy it, later you will have the money for something important.
ReplyDeleteFor the money personality quiz, i got money hoarder, because I like to save every penny i can for the bigger things in life that I want and think about. I think about my future and how i could save to make it better when it comes, so that i'm not left with a few dollars to my name. I would like to save as much for college, or new vehicle, or a house after college. I am always trying to put in my saving whatever i can when i get the least bit of money and never to use my checking account, because it's too easy to slide the card through the machines to buy something and you don't feel as much pain using the card as you do seeing yourself hand over hundreds of dollar bills.
ReplyDeleteFor the Money Personality quiz, I received a "Money Monk" and an "Amasser" as the highest score. Second highest just by one less point was a "Spender". I do agree with the Money Monk because I do try to avoid money situations all the time. I would definitely donate money to charity if I had quite a lot of it. Also I donate money to people on the sides of the streets all the time. I do focus on the more important things in life other than money but I don't think it's all that bad. For example, I would ask for a raise if I thought I deserved it. I do agree with "Amasser" because I am always happy if I have a lot of money in my wallet. But then it makes sense I got "Spender" as second because I do spend my money but not all of it. Sometimes I go on a splurge and than later regret it.
ReplyDeleteMy quiz results told me that I was a hoarder. I don't know to disagree or agree with this statement because I haven't had enough money made by myself to determine what to do with it sense I haven't really had a real job. If I were to make a guess though I wouldn't really agree with this statement because although I like to have a lot of money and make sure that I always still have some I also really like to spend money and get things or spend it on fun activites.
ReplyDeleteFor my quiz results I got Hoarder. I would agree with this because I do keep my money but I make sure I put it in savings accounts so it will be there in the future when I need it. If I go shopping and see something I really like it will buy it because I feel as if it is okay to spend my money that's in savings on stuff I really like but I mostly want to make sure I have money in there for when I get a car (gas money) and for college.
ReplyDeleteFor my quiz results I got Amasser, I would agree with this because I do like to have a lot of money because if something does happen then it ensures that I have enough to get by on and get everything I need. I also agree because I like to have a lot of money so I can get what I want and then help others out if they need help. It feels safer because then I know that I can spend a little or get something I want without having to worry about not having enough money. This way it lets me make sure I have money for everything I need like food, gas, etc, and then enough for anything else I want.
ReplyDeleteFor the quiz results i got Amasser i would agree with this because i do like to have a lot of money in the bank i love to safe I'm always consort to what will happen to me like this the ensures can cover for everything because i have enough to get by on and get everything that i need. also i love to have a lot of money like this i can bay what ever i need and what i want like this i don't have to worry about not having enough money also is good for my future and for college.
ReplyDeleteAt the end of my quiz I was labeled Amasser. I agree with the quiz because my goal in life is to have as much money as I can in as little as time. I feel more in control when I have money. This explains me well.
ReplyDeleteMy quiz result was Hoarder, but this doesn't reflect me because whenever I get an idea on what to buy, I buy it without hesitation, but first I save it for later. I wouldn't hoard a bunch of money for a while.
ReplyDeleteMy quiz gave me Avoider. I think this is true because I am a teenager and I " have a hard time balancing my income". this is because it can change from week to week. But I think that my money label will change over time because I will start to make more money when I am not in school but I will also start to spend more money but I think that the Avoider is Right for me at the moment.
ReplyDeleteMy quiz result was Money Monk and Spender, I would likely agree with these because if i came to alot of money or made a very good living I would figure out how to maximize my profits and all of my money so that I could live comfortably and spend whenever i pleased comfortably.
ReplyDeleteFor my quiz I received "Money Monk" "Avoider" and "Hoarder. I would agree with all the last two! I mainly think that I am these things because thinking about my future with money stresses me out! I love buying new things but I hate spending money! I also do as much as I can to save for necessities but I always end up spending It on things I don't necessarily need! I don't think I'm a money monk because I LOVE money!! Although money is a very complicated and stressful topic, pay day is the best day! No matter what I end up doing with my money, saving it, avoiding it, or spending it, I still love receiving it!
ReplyDeleteFor my quiz I received "Hoarder" and I would agree with this. I tend to be the type of person who likes to put my money right away once I get paid from something and I don't like keeping it on me a lot because I believe more in saving and I know if I keep it on me I will buy unnecessary purchases. I love the feeling of having a lot of money in the bank or away some where because it makes me feel less stressed and easy going. Although I don't like spending money all that often, I'm not opposed to buying a gift for someone who is really important to me because I do like spending money on people who are a big part of my life.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Hoarder, because I think it is good to save your money rather than spend it because i want to be able to have a steady life when i retire. I dont think its good to just spend your money on anything because it isn't good to waste your money on something that isn't necessary, unless you treat yourself every once in a while because everyone deserves a treat. I think saving your money is responsible because you're not just wasting it and you're using it wisely. Money is hard to earn nowadays and when you earn it you have to make sure you have enough for all the necessary things like bills. So i agree that I am a hoarder when it comes to money because i budget my money right i'll have enough to balance everything i want and need out, an still have enough to be comfortable.
ReplyDeleteI agree with my result of Amasser. I want as much money as possible and I will do anything to get it quickly. I feel good and safe with a lot of money because I like to buy things. Its no fun if you don't use it.
ReplyDeleteI answered the quiz as Gatsby and got spender for him. Some of the questions I answered were 3.)My primary financial objective is:
ReplyDeleteTo have enough of it to ensure that I can buy whatever I want.- This describes Gatsby because he took 3 years to save up enough money to buy his mansion. His main goals was to save up as much money as possible so he could buy all the things he did.
6.) When I think about financial recordkeeping:
I don't keep records. There are more important things in life.- Gatsby doesn't keep records because he spends so much money all the time with his huge parties if he was worried about it he would be keeping track.
8.)When it comes to borrowing:
It's rare for me to borrow money, because I always have enough saved for emergencies.- Gatsby never needs to borrow money because he has so much money. Gatsby offers Nick a job to earn more money because he knows he is struggling and Gatsby knows how to get it because he has so much.
I took the quiz as Gatsby and got a spender which makes complete sense because of the way gatsby lives. He lives just to get daisy's attention and please her and daisy is only pleased with money and material items. Also there is no point in the book where gatsby ever complains about a lack of money or debt the only time he talks about money is when he is showing of his own money. One question on the quiz that is an example of this is that when it comes to saving if he had money saved he would just spend it anyway.
ReplyDeleteI would have to say to a zenith extent that i'm a bit of a amasser as well as an investor and a hoarder. I would say that I'm an amasser first because the first thing I do with my money is to invest it to make more, and then invest those profits. Though, I also like the feeling of being secure and also just having money so I keep a nice part of my profits aside just for comfort and pride. In the end, when all of my financial needs and algorithms are met I will allow myself to spend on comforts. Overall, I have confidence in my financial decisions and I will follow my guidelines for the rest of my life.
ReplyDeleteI took the quiz as Gatsby and I got spender. I think this is true because he just blows money on parties and random people all the time. "If I worry about money" I chose never. Gatsby gets money so easily and has so much of it. "money in general" represents excitement and happiness to gatsby because he uses it on parties and fun all the time."In the event of a financial issue gatsby has enough money to pull himself right out of it.
ReplyDeleteFor the character part I chose Gatsby. He got Amasser followed by Spender. One of the question was if he won a million dollars what would he do. I put to start thinking of ways to make it grow because he would want to make more money to get more things to impress Daisy. Another question was if he worries about money. For that I said never because he seems to spend most of his money and doesn't really care. The final question is when it comes to lending money how does he feel about it. I put that he is very generous and doesn't worry about getting it back because he has so much of it.
ReplyDeleteI would have to say that Mr. Wilson is an investor. The first question, I answered the he would Figure out ways of investing it to get the best possible return if he got 20000. This shows that he needs to make as much money as fast as he can in his business because this is the only way he will stay in business in the valley of ashes. The next question I answered that he would think about his budget a lot and strategize how to make more of it. This shows that he needs to act fast because he is in a business and he needs to invest. For the third question I said that his financial objective was To make as much of it as possible, as quickly as possible. Only this strategy would make Mr. Wilson's business possibly and successful. Overall, Mr. Wilson is classified as an aggressive investor.
ReplyDeleteIn the personality quiz, I got the "Hoarder". I believe this is true because ever since I was young I always saved my money. I never wanted to spend it. Obviously, I would have to agree with the results. Usually, I don't spend any money. I have bought things that I really wanted, but I would make sure that I got the best price and still have plenty of money left over. I don't often buy things. I am very careful with my money. So, I am a hoarder.
ReplyDeleteFor the money quiz I was an Avoider. This does match my personality because I do like to put things off until I finally need to deal with them. With my money Ill just spend it when I want to and not care about saving it. But sometimes Ill have money just lying around forever and just forget about it. I try not to worry about my money in the future but when people start to talk about how they will deal with it it does get me nervous. That is why agree that I am an Avoider.
ReplyDeleteFor the money quiz I got the "Amasser." It says "If you are not actually spending, saving, or investing, you may feel empty or not fully alive." and this is100 percent true, I hate the feeling of not having any money saved or to spend because everything in the world revolves around money nowadays and theres little to nothing you can do without it. It also says "You tend to be happy with large amounts of money to spend and/or save." and I do feel a lot more comfortable with a lot of money, because I like knowing that I can pay for what I want, and need rather than going to my parents or other people for what I need. I love having a lot of money, it makes me feel more secure and less worried all the time.
ReplyDeleteMy results for the quiz were "hoarder". I think this is true because I like to save my money and a lot of the time I have a hard time spending it. It is much easier for me to buy things on my debit card because it almost doesn't feel like real money. It is hard for me to spend my cash because I like to have money incase of an emergency or if I really need something. I put most of mu money in the bank so I think that would also classify me as a hoarder. I don't have a problem buying things that I really want, but I make sure not to waste my money on frivolous things.
ReplyDeleteMy results were "Spender" and i agree because i usually tend to use my money while i have it, temptations seem to come easy when i have money, though most of the time its easy to resist, if i can i adjust my budget to buy what i want, i will. Dont get me wrong i spend a lot of time thinking about what way is wisest i spend my money, and make sure i have enough for the necessary stuff, like food/drink but after that, I only save to spend. Basically, in my mind, if it makes me happy, and its affordable, why shouldnt i get it?
ReplyDeleteMy result for this quiz was "Hoarder" i don't really agree with this because i save money yes but i wouldn't be on top of it all the time making sure that the amount didn't change. I would be the one to leave it alone and possibly slowly spend it. If i was to spend it, it would be spend in small amounts at a time not on one big price tag. Also i would like to keep the amount of money i have growing instead of having the fear that one day i will loos it all.
ReplyDeleteMy results were of the Hoarder. I agree with this because I attempt to save any money I get so that I have a little leeway with spending money but still have enough left over to continue investing in. I hate spending all my money because I get no fulfillment out of not having any money. Though I do not like to boast and walk around with wads of cash hanging out of my pockets, I at least enjoy having security with it instead of questioning whether or not I can afford lunch.
ReplyDeleteI am a horder. I like to have the money to do stuff with however I do not really like to spend it I really would like to save any of the money that would have come my way like if i got a million dollars I would put that puppy in the bank and leave it some where where I could not touch it until I needed it and the bank would just charge the interist on it so the money would just go up. This is why I would save my money. For other purposes.
ReplyDeleteAfter taking my money personality quiz I was found to be an amasser. I completely agree with this conclusion as I often find myself thinking about ways to make more money using the money I already have. Investing is something that interests me greatly and I agree with the fact that I am an amasser.
ReplyDeleteI did the quiz again and chose the character Daisy. The results I got for her was avoider and I believe this is an accurate result for her because she's flighty and easily overwhelmed, she has a hard time making decisions for herself, and is generally confused with money because she doesn't do the books nor does she actually use the money. She's taken about by Gatsby's careless spending and massive amount of money because it's a lot and though she's generally used to being around the rich, it's still a lot for her.
ReplyDeleteI believe that Gatsby is a spender, because of his big parties that he holds and all the alcohol that he gets to serve at his parties. Some could argue that he is a spender, but he could build his money back up, because Gatsby is rich. When It comes to Gatsby and money, he just blows it on stupid things, but always finds ways to build it back up. Gatsby, doesn't really budget his money, but he does save it and at the same time Gatsby spends it on parties and his alcohol. If Gatsby ever won a million dollars, he probably would throw a huge party and would have a ton a alcohol. Gatsby doesn't worry about his money at all. He just spends it and few days later has more money coming into him. Gatsby doesn't really need a bank loan, because he just gets more money at the same time of spending his older money.
ReplyDeleteFor my quiz results I got Hoarder. I agree and disagree with the result because I do like spending money on gifts for other people. Also I never have a budget when I go out shopping because I usually know what I'm going to get. I would agree with this because I rarely put money in the bank and when I have money I keep my money hidden in my room for as long as I can.
ReplyDeleteI took the quiz as george, the result is a hoarder I think that George would most likely be a hoarder because he lives in the valley of the ashes and runs a "business" there THe questions that I thought were the most applicable to George would be what owuld he do with a million dollars. He would have saved every penny of it. Because he lives in a very poor region and this is why he would have gotten a hoarder
ReplyDeleteMy original assumption was that Gatsby was an amasser but on further inspection supplemented by the quiz I found him to be a spender. Gatsby is spending his money at every turn in the novel and these questions characterize his theoretical actions. If $20,000 came Gatsby's way he would quickly spend it. When it comes to how Gatsby deals with his money it is apparent that he enjoys spending it on gifts and material things. Finally, Gatsby's primary financial objective is to have enough money so that he can buy whatever he wants. It appears that Gatsby has already reached this point and it has allowed him to spend his money freely.
ReplyDeleteFor the money quiz, I got the Avoider personality. I agree with this, because I often get anxiety when I think about how much money I have, and what I need to buy. I often just hurry and buy what I need when I need it when I have it, so that I don't need to spend all day and night thinking about what I do and what I don't have enough for. I basically just play it by ear, I guess.
ReplyDeleteWhen I took the quiz as Gatsby, I got spender. Gatsby has so much money he doesn't care what he spends it on. Clearly you can tell because he spends so much money on extravagant parties for random people he doesn't know. For number two it says, "When it comes with dealing with my money: Gatsby enjoys spending it on gifts and anything else that gives him pleasure." As he shows throughout all his parties. Question number five says, "When it comes to spending money: I don't care where it goes, I have more important things to think about." Gatsby really doesnt' care what his money is spent on, all he cares about it Daisy. His more "important thing" to think about is her. Number 16 asks "When I think about money in general, to me it represents" for this one I would pick the answers, "security" and "power, prestige, and freedom." I would chose this for Gatsby because his money represents power because he uses his money to buy amazing things that will attract Daisy. Everyone knows who he is and for security his money is too fall back on. No matter how unhappy he is without Gatsby, he always has his money to keep him occupied. Question 18 asks if he ever worries about money and I chose the answer "Never. I worry about more important things". Gatsby has so much money he doesn't need to ever worry about financial problems. The only thing he worries about is getting Daisy back.
ReplyDeleteI took the quiz for Gatsby and he is a spender. This is because the first question is "If $20,000 came to me unexpectedly my first impulse would be to.." and I chose a: spend it on things I want including gifts for others. This is because throughout the book Gatsby spends all his money on things for parties so other people can have fun and to impress Daisy. Also, the second question is "When it comes to dealing with money.." and I answered b: I enjoy spending it on gifts and anything else that gives me pleasure". I chose this because he all the money that he spends is to get Daisy back and Daisy is what makes him happy. Finally, question 15 says "When I want to buy something that's not in my budget.." I chose the first answer that says "What budget? Everything will work out alright". This is because he doesn't care how much money he spends and doesn't have a budget. He just goes with the flow.
ReplyDeleteUpon taking the money quiz in Gatsby's view of things, I got a money spender, as I figured I would get for him. I think this is a very true answer for Gatsby because he is very careless with his money and I feel like he would, and could, spend it anywhere at any point in time. For the question "when it comes to investing", the answer I put for Gatsby is that he wants to try something wild that might end up making him rich. I chose this because he is in the bootlegging business and he is in many other investment and stock deals. Another question I answered as Gatsby is "when to worry about money", I chose the answer of never, Gatsby thinks about other things like Daisy and how to get to her.
ReplyDeleteThe quiz said I was a hoarder, and I agree with the results. However it claims that I probably don't like spending my money on gifts. While this is partly true, I don't buy gifts for myself, I like buying gifts for my close friends. And the main reason I hoard my money is to make a safety cushion in case of an emergency, and so I can easily purchase expensive items without using credit cards or taking out a loan.
ReplyDeleteFor my result, I am a amasser. I do agree with my results especially with the part "you tend to equate money with self-worth and power, so a lack of money may lead to feelings of failure and even depression." with everything revolving on money, I'm constantly worrying about if I have enough for my future or any emergencies, but I do like to spend money on small fun things like going out with friends, clothing, little things, etc.
ReplyDeleteFor Gatsby he would definitely be a spender. For question one where it asks if you were to get $20,000 unexpectedly, he would spend it on things I want including gifts for others because of the way he bought a dress for a girl that ripped her's at his party. For question five, when it comes to spending, he doesn't really care where the money goes and has more important things to worry about. He is more worried about trying to get Daisy by spending his money I think. Question nine asks when it comes to lending money....Gatsby would be pretty generous and wouldn't worry too much about getting it back. He is constantly doing things for others, basically giving away his money and he doesn't seem that worried about getting anything in return.
I took the money personality quiz again for Gatsby, and I got Spender. I believe that this is true, because Gatsby spends A LOT of money on his parties, and on his house and other things. I feel like he doesn't have a budget when he pays for things for other things, either. It wouldn't surprise me if he spends a lot of money all at once on trivial things. There was music from my neighbor's house through the summer nights. In his blue gardens men and girls came and went like moths among the whisperings and he champagne and the stars. At high tide in the afternoon I watched his guests diving from the tower of his raft, or taking the sun on the hot sand of his beach while his motor-boats slid the waters of the Sound, drawing aquaplanes over cataracts of foam. On week-ends his Rolls-Royce became an omnibus, bearing parties to and from the city between nine in the morning and long past midnight, while his station wagon scampered like a brisk yellow bug to meet all trains. (3.1)
ReplyDeleteI took the quiz as Gatsby and got spender. I knew this was going to happen because Gatsby is always spending money in the book. If Gatsby got $20,000 he would immediately have a party and spend it on gifts or something expensive. When he deals with money he enjoys spending it on gifts and things for him. When it comes to making a budget Gatsby never has a budget because he has enough money to pay for anything. When it comes to saving Gatsby has saved up an enormous in the past. When it comes to borrowing he never needs to because he always has money. When it comes to lending he will happily give money to someone and not worry about getting it back.
ReplyDeleteI took the quiz as Gatsby. Hey got spender for his money personality. Because he enjoys using his money to buy himself goods and services for immediate pleasure. he also gets satisfaction from spending money on gifts for others. Like how he throws big parties and does not charge for anyone to get in. For the Fist question when it asks if you worry about money Gatsby would pick " What, me worry? I just enjoy spending it! " This is defiantly true because he has so much he does not have to worry about it. On number 16 when it asks 16.When I think about money in general, to me it represents... Gatsby would pick Power, prestige, and freedom because he likes begging the big shot at his party's. For the questions when it asks for When it comes to lending money: Gatsby would pick I don't mind lending money at a good interest rate, if I get repaid on time. This is because he is a gangster and likes making money on money.
ReplyDeleteThe quiz had told me that I am a spender. However I believe that this is not entirely true because I tend to save money when I am not spending. When it comes to my money I tend to be conservative with it. However when I am working on a project I tend to spend more at that certain time. I also believe that money is power so it is important to hold on to that power. I am conservative when I want to be and a spender when it becomes necessary. I also don’t like spending money on things that don’t last. For example gasoline I need it to go places but I put gas off until I really need it.
ReplyDeleteI took the quiz as Gatsby and he was a spender. This is because Gatsby in the book as a lot of money and so that Daisy will see how rich he is he spends a lot of it. Also, you can tell that he is a spender because he waists his money on crazy parties were people get drunk and use things that he pays for. For question one when it says is you got $20,000 I put that Gatsby would spend it because he wants to spend it all on cars, parties, and alcohol. That is why I agree that Gatsby is a spender.
ReplyDeleteThe quiz told me I am a spender, which I tend to think is partially true. I do have money saved up for the future, but however if I have money close at hand, I will most likely spend it. It is difficult for me to sometimes put my paychecks into savings, because there is always something in the back of my mind that I want, or I know I could afford to buy for myself.
ReplyDeleteI took the quiz as Gatsby and he was a spender as well. I agree completely with this because he has all of those extravagant parties spending money on all the alcohol and food, and bands playing music. For the question, "If you got $20,000..." I think Gatsby would just spend it right away for whatever it is that he wanted.
DeleteThe money income quiz told me that I was an avoider, this is true because i am currently in high school and have a hard time "balancing income" as John Kilbourn said. i think this will change after school because ill pursue a career and have a more substantial income to spend and save too!
ReplyDeleteI took the quiz as Nick and got Amasser. In the description of Amasser, it says that they would be happier with more money they hey have now. Nick has been looking to make more money in the stock business during the summer. I believe Nick has a really good grasp on what and what not to spend his money on even though he is around people who live extravagantly. However, if he won the lottery, I believe the answer 'To start thinking about ways to make it grow and use it for my own enjoyment' for question 20 would fit him because he did come to New York to make it big as a stock broker.
ReplyDeleteI took the quiz as Gatsby and he turned out the be a spender. Because Gatsby spends lots of money on his big party that he thoughts. But these party aren't for his own internment really he makes sure that his gust leave happy. Fir the question if he got $20,000 dollars i put down that he would spend the money on party and other things that will make him happy.
ReplyDeleteI answered the questions as Gatsby. I think that Gatsby is a big spender who wants people to like him. For the first question about $20,000 I answered the Gatsby would spend the money on whatever he wants and on gifts for others because he wants to gain respect. For the 2nd question I answered that Gatsby likes to spend his money on things for pleasure. This is what Gatsby would do because he spends an absurd amount of money on parties. For the budget question, I said that Gatsby doesn't have a budget because he just spends as much money as he wants to in order to impress people. I also said that Gatsby is a generous lender. Gatsby is definitely a generous lender because he spends so much money for others to enjoy his parties. The results said Gatsby is a spender. This is 100% true because Gatsby spends so much money to impress others and not on things he needs, just anything he wants, he buys.
ReplyDeletethe money quiz said i was a spender. I agree with this because at times i do love to spend money if i have it weather it is an item for me or someone else. But i think once i get out of school and get a job and have responsibility i will most likely become a hoarder.
ReplyDeleteGatsby took the quiz and was defined as an Amasser. I agree with this because he does like to spend his money quite extravagently, but also capitalizes on making as much money as possable as well. For the question about what he capitalizes most on in his financial status, he answered "Making money as fast as possable" which is something someone of New Money would do, try and make money. Furthermore Gatsby Is an Amasser because he loves to spend, and doesnt really care where his money goes as long as he can make more in a heartbeat.
ReplyDeleteMy quiz results ended up being "hoarder." I believe saving some money is important but I am not a real hoarder. I do spend a good amount but I am cautious about how much I am spending. I believe being a hoarder is smart because then you have money for when you are retired, or you have an emergency and cannot work.
ReplyDeleteIm Gatsby, the quiz said that i am a spender. this is accurate because i buy books that i dont read, i have a huge house, and i host parties with hundreds of people just to impress the love of my life.... Daisy. This wont change until i get daisy to be my wife.
ReplyDeleteFor the money quiz I got a tie between Amasser, Money Monk, and Avoider. If I were to categorize myself in one of those I would probably say that I am a avoider. I really don't balance my bank account or anything I kinda just takeout what I need and hopefully in the future replace it. Whatever's in my bank account is whats in their. I'm not worried that I won't have enough money because I know that there's money in their for emergencies or if I need anything. How much money I have depends on how much I spend in gas per week and what other things I spend my money on. Saving money is not a problem with me it goes as fast as it comes. (70-80/week for gas/food/ car repairs/ doing something entertaining with friends) I hate spending money but if I have to spend it I spend it. I don't pay taxes so I dont have to worry about tax returns, 401ks, w2 forms or any of that. I do believe that money is bad and that if I have too much of it I will spend it on something stupid but If that were to happen I'd defiantly keep it in a bank account or have someone else hold on to it so I wouldn't be tempted to spend it.
ReplyDeleteFor the money personality I was catorgirized as a hoarder. After reading the descriptions of a hoarder, it actually matches me pretty well. I do not like spending money and it kind of stresses me out to think about spending a lot of money. I am one of the hoarders though that likes to put my money in a bank rather than hiding my money "under my mattress"
ReplyDeletei chose to take the quiz as Gatsby, and as expected he was a spender. This is one hundred percent accurate because spending money is Gatsby favorite thing to do. whether it be him having parties, buying gifts for his friends, or just spending it because he has it.
ReplyDeleteI tool the quiz and I was a horder. I think this is true. I really don't like to spend money but I like to buy somethings. Also I hate to loan money or borrow it. I always keep my money safe and locked up for safe keeping and for emergencys.
ReplyDeleteI took the quiz as Gatsby and got Spender. I believe this is accurate because Gatsby loves spending money and spending lots of it. He doesn't ever have budget. He spends tons and tons of money on himself and on gifts for others. For example when he spends tons of money on all his parties he has, they aren't just for him, there for everyone. He spends his money on things for pleasure. He spends tons of money to impress people and doesn't care about the prices things are. He never needs to borrow money from other people because he has enough of his own. Anything Gatsby wants he gets, so spender is 100 percent accurate.
ReplyDeleteI took the quiz as Gatsby and the result was spender. I think the result is accurate because Gatsby is always spending money on an whatever he could find to spend money on.
ReplyDeleteI took the money quiz and I got the avoider. I believe this to be somewhat true because although I like to spend money I find it hard to control. I don't like worrying about how much I owe people or what things I should buy or invest into in all honesty I would much rather just buy my necessities and maybe a few extra thing for entertainment purposes and be done with the whole mess! I also feel like I avoid because I have no idea what to do with it. I don't know how to balance a check or do taxes so I'd rather just stay clear of the whole thing and all do what I need. I think who ever I should learn more I'm just to nervous to do so.
